Teen Activities

We offer a variety of activities for teens and young adults, giving them opportunities to gather in a safe place, meet other teens, explore their developing world view, and deepen their individual sense of spirituality.

Teen/Adult Breakfasts

Each month the Teen Group joins their parents and guardians, along with their Youth Advisors and the Director of Religious Education, for group activities and a potluck breakfast before worship. We meet at 9:00am on the second Sunday of each month. After enjoying the delicious feast and a whole-group activity, the adults meet as a group to discuss parenting topics while the teens gather to discuss issues, challenges and important milestones.

Youth Conferences

For youth aged 14 though young adulthood, the Pacific Central District of the Unitarian Univeralist Association (PCD-UUA) also offers four regional youth conferences, called Cons, each year. Sponsored by the youth-led group Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU), Cons are designed to provide meaningful leadership development opportunities for young people and a safe place for our youth to gather, worship and just hang out. They are planned and implemented by youth in consultation with trained adult advisors. They are held at various locations throughout the district. The August 2007 Con was held right here at UUCSR!
